Marathons Rotterdam April 8 and Huizen April 11, 2018: A Double Marathon for a good cause.
As you might know the Persian Run Marathon in Tehran for April has been canceled and will be held in October in Tabriz.
After some consideration I have decided to persist the double marathon challenge for the good cause.
Stichting Vluchteling that cooperates with The IRC for immediate aid to civilians in war zones.
Talking about this challenge on NPO Radio 1, April 1st, 2018:
Meanwhile I've pointed out the track of my second marathon of the double marathon on April 8 and 11. www.strava.com/routes/7247610
Rotterdam Marathon with about a million spectators and a nice medal.
The alternative Marathon of Huizen and 't Gooi will be a whole other kind of challenge.
Start and Finish April 11 will be at the Fish and Chips store (without chips 😉) of "Peter & Ineke" on the Gemeenlandslaan in Huizen, Netherlands.
So my reward will be a nice fried fish with sauce ravigotte please 😁😉.
The 42.2 KM (26.2 miles) track as Strava Route : http://www.strava.com/routes/7247610
As you can see on the map, I have chosen a track lay-out with some D+.
Near +180m D with start and finish in Huizen with passage through towns of Blaricum, Laren, city of Hilversum, Bussum, via Naarden with fortifications back to Huizen.
In Huizen a final round of 10km to my "Kibbeling" with sauce please 😉😋. . .
The challenge stays the same : two Marathons as a double in sub 8 hours. So, the time I run in Rotterdam will be starting point for the second.
I will probably start in Rotterdam on time schedule 3h35 and will see how the legs will hold after 25KM if to accelerate to negative split to sub 3h35 or fighting to stay sub 3h40. . .
So a 3h40 in Rotterdam will give me a time objective of Huizen of 4h20.
Probably it will be that last, as I had to skip some interval sessions, so lacking some proper speed in the legs. .
Up to my fifth and sixth marathon. Let's run 👊🏃
April 8, 2018 - Marathon of Rotterdam, 42.195km 🏃, Netherlands 🇳🇱 @MarathonRotterdam . .
April 11, 2018 - Alternative Marathon of Huizen, 42.195km 🏃, Netherlands 🇳🇱 . . . .
Stichting Vluchteling cooperates with The IRC for immediate aid to 65 millions civilians in war zones all over the world.
That's why I run a double marathon for.
Thank you for your donation and support.

This photo touched me. I'm a father, my youngest will be 6 this year.

I hope it will wake up other people and please donate my page for refugees of war.
Each donation directly goes to refugees of war fund for basic needs in regions of war, like blankets, winter clothes etc.
65 millions refugees of war.. The number has never been this high since the end of the Second World War.
For this reason I will run two Marathons in a row. One on the European continent and one in Asia. The Middle East in fact.
Marathon Rotterdam, Netherlands. 42.195km (26.2 miles) - April 8, 2018
Persian Run Marathon, Tehran, Iran, 42.195km (26.2 miles) - April 13, 2018
Although I'm just one person, I hope my efforts as sign of friendship, will contribute to a bit more understanding and will bring a positive vibe. We as people can make a difference.
The Rotterdam Marathon 🇳🇱, I will run Sunday, April 8 with my friends Wimereux RC & Marathon 🇫🇷 .
From Rotterdam, I will travel to Tehran, Iran 🇮🇷 to run a second 42.195km (26.2 miles). Start Friday, April 13.
2 Continents, 2 Marathons, 4 days between Marathon Day 1 and 2.
2x 42.195km = 84.390km.
Each donation you make during my preparation, directly benefits the fundraising, to give the refugees already this winter their blankets, food and other basic needs to survive.
You can also follow me during my preparations in winter ans as well during both Marathons via my Instagram Bio 'DutchRunnerinFrance' www.instagram.com/DutchRunnerinFrance ,
Another reason to run Tehran, is that it gives a chance to share what a beautiful country Iran is.
The old country of the Persians dates back to 9.000 years of human civilisation, with amazing monuments. Listed on UNESCO World Heritage.
Casino boulevard, Ramsar, Mazandaran province, Iran.
